For over 20 years, the Professional Association of Cable Cars has been striving to achieve a balanced coexistence with nature, environment and tourist infrastructure in the Alps. In 1988, the association founded the environment forum, which researches the potential effects of alpine development on the ecology, water supply, public health, forestry, and characteristic landscape, land use planning and economics. Moreover, the environment forum aims to achieve the sustainable integration of development measures. The interaction of man and nature, tourism and ecology are the main themes of the association.
